Raleigh Enterprises is active in the real estate market in the broadest sense. It pursued several successful real estate ventures with the Executive Life Insurance Company, before that company's demise in the 1990's. An affiliate, Raleigh Equities, became the Managing Partner of a joint ventures that acquired, managed and ultimately sold over $600 million dollars worth of multi-family residential properties and retail shopping centers. Also organized and founded by Raleigh Enterprises for Executive Life, RRP Management, Inc. managed and sold a $350 million dollar geographically diverse portfolio of buildings leased to the U.S. Postal Service and the federal General Services Administration.Raleigh has considerable experience with the development and management of various types of commercial real estate. Including shopping centers, residential subdivisions, low and high-rise commercial office buildings, hotels and film studios. During Its earliest years In the mld-50's, Raleigh subleted land and built homes in Orange County. In a 1963 joint venture with Playboy Enterprises, Raleigh developed that company's corporate office building. In 1984, Raleigh completed the development of a 220,000 square foot eleven-story building in a venture with Executive Life. That project's garden was awarded first place In the 1985 Los Angeles Beautification Awards. In 1986, Raleigh completed the master planned expansion of Raleigh Studios, encompassing over 100,000 square feet of low-rise offices and approximately 50,000 feet of new sound stages, the first to be built In Los Angeles County In a generation. Another Raleigh-lead joint venture completed development of an adjacent, 17 story, 250,000 square foot, landmark office tower in 1989.
