Raleigh commenced operations in 1955 as a general contractor and developer. Over time, its focus shifted to the development, management and operation of significant real estate based, service businesses. Since its beginnings, the company has purchased, developed, managed and owned over ten million square feet of real estate. Including high-rise and low-rise office buildings, luxury hotels, commercial shopping centers, movie and television studio complexes, industrial developments and residential apartments. Raleigh has also successfully developed condominium complexes and single-family residential estates.
